Overview

Refuel your mind, body, and soul as you kick off the summer and begin to dream about the school year to come. Join Rosemary Quaranta as you weave the fibers of your classroom curriculum together, and plan for the new year. She will guide you through a reflection process and help you answer big questions, including: What went really well in your classroom this year? What was difficult? What would you like to keep going forward, and what would you like to change? You will acquire the necessary skills to plan out your entire curriculum month-by-month. It will put your mind at ease, and allow for more spontaneity to occur in your classroom.

Learner Outcomes

You will:

• Create a plan for the year that allows for transdisciplinary learning and spontaneous activity.
• Form manageable monthly goals.
• View the entire curriculum as a whole, and understand your role, as teacher, in disseminating it.

About the Presenter

Rosemary Quaranta, MEd, is head of Xavier University Montessori Lab School, in Cincinnati, OH, and a teaching professor at XU’s Montessori Teacher Education Program. She is a member of the AMS Teacher Education Action Commission. AMS-credentialed (Elementary I – II). AMI-credentialed (Primary).
