Black Lives Matter: A Montessori Virtual Rally

Thursday, August 27, 8:00 PM – 8:45 PM (ET)

Join us for this free event, where we will listen to the voices of Black Montessori educators, honor their contributions to our community, share resources and projects surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion, and identify and articulate our shared values. Registration is required.

In Focus: Infant & Toddler

Saturday, October 17

Ideal for Montessori teachers with 1  – 10 years of classroom experience, and led by experts in Infant & Toddler education, this symposium will present a thorough review of core Montessori philosophy for our youngest students (birth through age 3). You will ruminate on Dr. Montessori’s teachings, have long-form discussions, and learn from facilitators who will challenge you to reflect on and improve your classroom practices. There will be a forum where you can share best practices and learn from your peers.

TEP Ed: Diversity in Montessori

This event invites teacher educators and program directors to come together to discuss intentionality in bringing people of diverse races and backgrounds into the Montessori profession.

AMS Secondary Symposium

Friday and Saturday, November 6 and 7

This symposium will provide Montessori Middle and High School teachers with a rich lineup of professional development, specifically tailored to their needs and interests. Because of the depth and breadth of the information being offered in this symposium, we will not be presenting Secondary offerings at The Montessori Event this year. The symposium will give Secondary educators an opportunity to network, grow, and explore the topics most relevant to them.

Montessori Beyond Borders

Sunday, November 8 – Saturday, November 14

Join AMS and Mon’s Education Institute for a virtual Montessori conference designed for members of our community whose primary language is Mandarin. Montessori Beyond Borders focuses on overcoming distance to dissolve the bias and barriers in education with the goal of creating a more connected and engaged future. The conference includes keynote speeches and the sharing of education pedagogy and philosophy.
